know of a good metal cutting saw or other option that can be used on mild steel tube?
use a piece of angle iron clamped to the tube as a guide.
wtf? who has a Plasma cutter at home??? $3 will buy you a metal cut-off blade for any one of your tools SkilSaw, grinder, Sawsall, etc.
wafer blade on your angle grinder...
